In his book "Relativity. The Special and the General Theory" (now available on the Internet), Einstein teaches about the principle of relativity.

Here is an extremely condensed summary of Einstein's book.
The principle of relativity has three facets or aspects:

  1. The Principle of Relativity in its Restricted Sense
  2. The Special Theory of Relativity
  3. The General Theory of Relativity
Einstein favorite example1 is a traveler in a train and a bystander on the embankment.
The bystander on the embankment sees the train and the traveler sitting in it moving.
The traveler looking out the window, sees the bystander along the landscape moving.
Einstein concludes that motion is relative and states that this is the principle of relativity in its restricted sense.
Einstein then asserts that the relativity of motion is self-evident.
The principle of relativity in its restricted sense ends up as the basis, or more precisely as a pillar of the relativity theory.

The #2 and #3 items above, the Special and the General Theories are much more elaborated.
Einstein writes that the principle of relativity is much more comprehensive than in its restricted sense.
The principle involves reference systems, simultaneity, speed of light, uniform motion, time, gravity and much more.

The fact of the matter is that the "comprehensive" principle (the whole of the 3 items above) relies on the "restricted principle".
Einstein, but for a few definitions, starts his book describing the principle in its restricted sense.
Once through the special theory (item #2 above), and on his way for the general theory (item #3) he reminds us that to start with every motion must be considered only as a relative motion.

Relativity / Reality

The mathematical theory of relativity is no doubt faultless!
Yet Einstein's relativity principle doesn't satisfy some individuals such as this writer.
Regardless of the theory's success, something is awry!

Let's be realistic!
Did you ever think, while riding a train that the landscape, station and onlookers are all moving within the window frame?
In view of the very basic reality that the train and not the whole earth underneath it is moving, gravimotion's interpretation of nature follows an imagination track far from Einstein's railroad track!

Einstein clearly states that we can as well choose the train for reference system as the landscape.
And this is mathematically true! Yet this is where mathematics sidesteps reality.
Relativity's mathematics metamorphoses within our minds, motion reality into an elusive idea.
Through relativity, reality becomes illusion!

In gravimotion's interpretation of Nature, motion relativity is a mathematical interpretation departing from reality.
That deserves explanation!
Let us start from the very beginning. Relativity is based on "self-evidence" and "seeing" or "observation."
All in all the principle of relativity in its restricted sense is wholly and exclusively a characteristic of our observation of motion!
As such the principle of relativity in its restricted sense is not a characteristic of motion per se.

In short...

Relativity concerns the observation of motion and not the reality of motion.
Motion is a physical phenomenon to be dealt with!
